Carrion de los Condes
We arrived in Carrion about 2 hours ago after a hot and windy walk. We checked into the albergue, which is run by several nuns. There are about 45 beds for pilgrims. The nuns are so very kind to everyone. Carrion is quite a large city compared to what we have seen in the last several days. We are hoping to cook a meal as we miss our own way of making sauces. We like more veggies and spice! The stores all close from 2:oopm - 5:00pm, which is very common in Spain. (for a little siesta) So now we are off to shop... I have taken some beautiful pictures of the local church and the downtown and will send those when I can find a connection that works. Adios!
