Toledo, Spain

The photo is a picture of the surrounding area of Toledo and part of a corner of the catheral. It is really a lovely place, with so much history and so much to see. Wish I had more time to explore this wonderful place they call Toledo.

Adios Santiago..we are on our way to Toledo!

We decided to rent a car and drive back to Madrid, making a two day stop in Toledo. What a lovely place. The sights were incrediable. It was build a long side of a river, with stone walls to protect the the city. The bridges were built from both side to cross over the hills. We took a tour on a fun train and stopped for a mohitos along the way. I would come back to visit this place again. More photo to come.....

Apartment in Santiago

We stayed in a charming apartment in Santigo. It was built in the 12 century. The lady ( Concepcion) explained how the archaelogist were able to tell her from the stones that the wall was from the 11 century and added to during the 15 century. It was beautifully furnished, and we were in the center of everything.
I told Concepcion that we would be back!!

Having fun in Santiago

We were just having a little fun when we ran into an angel and Saint James...So, I had to get a picture with them. Kate is our adorable pilgrim ready for another adventure.

Catheral in Santiago de Compostela

We went to the philgrims mass on sunday and we were blessed with stronger hearts and good will. The catheral is so beautiful, it is hard to capture the whole thing. The other photo is of St. James. We visited his tomb, and on the top it stand a solid gold, jewel incrusted statue of him. We got in line to see it and everyone hugs the statue for thanking him for good blessings and a safe journey.
